Frequently Asked
with Question

Everything parents ask before enrolling — answered honestly.

1. What age group is this for?

Unshakable Mind is designed for students aged 10–16. The programme works best for this window because it's when critical thinking habits form and English fluency gaps start to matter academically and socially. Younger than 10 and the abstract reasoning is too demanding; older than 16 and most students are already in exam-prep mode where debate becomes a tool rather than a foundation.

2. What level of English does my child need?

Intermediate and above — your child should be able to hold a basic conversation in English. They don't need to be advanced. The programme is designed to build confidence and fluency through structured argument, not to reward students who are already polished. If you're unsure, message me and I'll do a quick 10-minute assessment call for free.

3. What does a typical class look like?

Each session runs 50 minutes on ClassIn. We open with a thinking warm-up, then introduce one core concept (a logical fallacy, a reasoning principle, or a Socratic technique), apply it through a live debate topic or structured discussion, and close with a reflection. Students leave with one concept they can use immediately — not homework they'll ignore.

4. What if my child misses a session?

For group classes: I record every session and share it with the family. Your child won't fall behind. For private mentorship: we reschedule within the same week wherever possible. I ask for 24 hours' notice when you can give it — life happens, and I'm flexible.

5. How do I see my child's progress?

After every 4 sessions, you receive a short written update covering: which concepts your child has mastered, where they're still developing, and one specific thing to notice in their everyday speech. You'll also start hearing it yourself — in how they argue at the dinner table. That's usually the first sign.

6. Does this help with school exams or specific tests?

Yes — indirectly but powerfully. The skills built here (structured argumentation, logical analysis, precise use of language under pressure) transfer directly to IELTS Writing and Speaking, IGCSE English, IB Extended Essay, and any school oral assessment. This is not an exam-prep course, but students consistently report improvement in those areas within one term.

7. How many students are in a group class?

Depending on which option you choose it is different. Smaller, Logic Lab group sessions have a maximum of 5 students. This is deliberate — debate requires everyone to speak, think on their feet, and respond to real pushback. More than 5 and it becomes a class. Fewer than 5 and it stays a thinking session.

8. How do I get started?

Message me on WeChat Memi365 or an email. I'll reply within 24 hours. If you want to see whether this is a fit before committing, ask about a trial session - I offer one introductory class so your child can experience it before you decide. Or simply Book a Strategy Session.
